How do I use the installation repair tool?

If something isn't working with one of your local installations on an asset, you can try to repair the installation files before resorting to uninstalling and reinstalling Helm CONNECT.

To run the repair tool (Windows 10)

  1. From the Windows Start menu, search for "Add or remove programs."
  2. From the list of programs, click Helm CONNECT then click Modify.
  3. Click Repair Helm CONNECT.
  4. If the local installation still does not work, please contact Helm Support before trying any other solutions.

To run the repair tool (Windows 7 or 8)

  1. From the Windows Start menu (Windows 7) or the Windows Start screen (Windows 8), search for "Add or remove programs."
  2. From the list of programs, right-click Helm CONNECT then select Change.
  3. Click Repair Helm CONNECT.
  4. If the local installation still does not work, please contact Helm Support before trying any other solutions.
