Set Up Asset Custom Fields
Asset custom fields let you capture and report on extra details about your assets that Helm CONNECT's stock fields don't cover. They give you a place to track whatever matters most to your operation and to pull that information into your reports.
You add and manage your custom fields on the Setup > Field Configurations > Assets > Details tab, where you can also configure them by division and organize them into groups to make them easier to use. When you need to rename or delete a field, go to the Setup > Operations > Custom Fields tab.
Organize Your Custom Fields into Groups
You can organize your asset custom fields into groups so related fields sit together and are easier to scan on an asset's Details tab. Grouping helps when you track many fields, or want to keep fields from the same source together.
Any fields that aren't in a group appear in an Ungrouped group, shown with the stock fields near the top of an asset's Details tab. You can expand or collapse any group to show or hide its fields, and Helm CONNECT remembers your choice the next time you open the tab.
You set up and manage your groups on the Setup > Field Configurations > Assets > Details tab. Custom fields are configured by division, so select the division you want on the right before you begin.
