Work Rest: Use Shifts to Complete a 24-hour Period then Manage by Exception
You can use shifts to populate the 24-hour periods on the Work Rest grid automatically, then quickly modify any periods of time that deviate from the shift.
NoteEach type of work or rest is represented by a different color on the grid, so it’s easy to review the data at a glance. If any time periods aren't compliant (based on the rules you configure), they will turn red and you can enter a note to explain the discrepancy.
To use shifts to add data then manage by exception
- On the Work Rest tab, in the Work Rest Filter, select the appropriate filters then click Apply.
- On the grid, under the appropriate day, click the name of the crew member then select the shift they're working.
- On the grid, select any time periods that deviate from the shift, then click the appropriate status button in the header: Working, Resting, Travel, or On Watch.
- When you've finished reviewing and modifying the data, click Save.
