Set Up Departments
Although they're optional, departments are a useful way to organize the people in your system. Use the Setup > Operations > Departments tab to create and manage your departments.
Tip Use the Department column on the Setup > Users > Users tab to quickly see who has been assigned to each department.
Create a New Department
To create a new department
- Go to the Setup > Operations > Departments tab.
- Click New Department.
- In the Department field, enter a name for the new department.
- (Optional) In the Accounting Code field, enter the required information.
- When you're finished, click Save Changes.
