How an Asset's Effective Date Affects Due Dates

If you set an effective date for an asset on the Management > Assets > Asset > Details sub-tab, Helm CONNECT will compare it to the effective date on checklist and forms templates to calculate when items based on those templates are due:

• If the asset’s effective date is after the template’s effective date, the asset’s effective date will be used to calculate the first due date.
• If the asset’s effective date is before the template’s effective date, the template’s effective date will be used to calculate the first due date.
