Logbook: Navigate Dates in the Manifest Grid
The Manifest grid shows passengers who are aboard on a specific date. You can move between dates to view different days, track activities, and manage boardings across your vessel's schedule.
How to navigate to a different date
You have several options for moving between dates:
- Previous Day button: Click the left arrow to move back one day.
- Next Day button: Click the right arrow to move forward one day.
- Today button: Click Today to jump to the current date.
- Date picker: Click directly on the date field and select a date from the calendar.
When you navigate to a new date, the grid refreshes to show only the passengers who are aboard on that date.
How date navigation affects what you see
- The grid only shows passengers whose boarding period includes the selected date (from Date On through Date Off)
- If a passenger hasn't boarded yet (their Date On is in the future), they don't appear
- If a passenger has already left (their Date Off is in the past), they don't appear
- Daily attribute checkboxes reset for each new date—you need to check them each day
- Per-visit attribute checkboxes stay the same across all dates in a boarding
Working with future dates
By default, you can't navigate to future dates or create manifest entries for future dates. If you need to schedule passengers in advance, you'll need the Onboard > Logs > Manifest > Future Manifest Entries permission.
With this permission, you can:
- Use the date navigation to select future dates
- Create manifest entries with Date On values in the future
- Plan ahead for scheduled boardings
NoteWithout the Future Manifest Entries permission, the date picker and navigation buttons won't let you select dates after today.
