Logbook: Create a Manifest Report
The Manifest data source lets you build reports showing passenger details and activities across your fleet. You can use these reports for billing, compliance tracking, or operational analysis.
Please see Report on Your Data for details about building a report in Helm CONNECT.
How Manifest Reports Work
The report shows one row for each person for each day they're aboard:
- If a passenger is aboard for 5 days, they appear on 5 separate rows
- Each row shows which manifest attribute type boxes were checked for that day
- The report only includes days within the boarding period (from Time On through Time Off)
- Days before Time On or after Time Off don't appear in the report
Understanding Manifest Attribute Columns
Manifest attribute type columns show whether an activity happened:
- Yes: The box was checked for that day
- No: The box was unchecked, or was never checked before
If you deleted a manifest attribute type, it still appears in the non-default columns with "(deleted)" next to its name. This lets you report on historical data even after you've removed an attribute type from your setup.
Tips for Building Manifest Reports
- Use date range filters to report on specific voyages, billing periods, or time frames
- Filter by asset or division to create reports for specific vessels or operations
- Add company or vendor columns when you need to bill different organizations
- Sort by date to see boardings chronologically
- Group by external person to see all days for each passenger together
