Logbook: Rename and Reorder Your Tabs
Onboard > Logs contains three kinds of tabs: your work spaces, the History tab, and the preset tabs for the Logbook module (Logbook, Cargo, Tow Diagrams, Manifest, and Readings). This article explains how to rename and reorder the preset tabs. To set up and manage your work spaces, see "Set Up Spaces."
By default, the preset tabs have fixed names and a fixed order. You can give each one a custom name that matches your company's terminology and set the order they appear in, so the tabs your crew use most come first. This makes Helm CONNECT easier to navigate and helps you meet your naming or regulatory requirements.
Rename and Reorder Your Tabs
You configure your tabs on the Setup > Spaces > Spaces tab, where your preset tabs are listed alongside any custom spaces you've created.
NoteYou need the Setup > Spaces > Preset Tabs permission to rename or reorder tabs.
To rename or reorder a tab
- Go to the Setup > Spaces > Spaces tab.
- Select the tab you want to change: Logbook, Cargo, Tow Diagrams, Manifest, or Readings.
- (Optional) In the Name field, enter a custom name for the tab. The name you enter replaces the tab's label for everyone across your tenant.
NoteThe Default Tab Name field shows the tab's original name and can't be changed.
- In the Sort Order field, enter a number to set where the tab appears, from left to right.
- Click Save Changes.
NoteThe History tab always appears last, and you can't rename or reorder it. The names and order you set apply to everyone across your tenant, not to individual people or roles.
