Logbook: Rename and Reorder Your Tabs
The tabs across the top of Onboard > Logs (Logbook, Cargo, Tow Diagrams, Manifest, and Readings) come with default names and a default order, but you don't have to keep them that way. You can give each tab a custom name to match your company's terminology, and set the order they appear in so the tabs your crew use most sit right up front. This makes Helm CONNECT quicker to navigate and easier to learn, and it helps you meet your own naming or regulatory requirements without changing how you work.
Rename and Reorder Your Tabs
You configure your tabs on the Setup > Spaces > Spaces tab, where your preset tabs are listed alongside any custom spaces you've created.
NoteYou need the Setup > Spaces > Preset Tabs permission to rename or reorder tabs.
To rename or reorder a tab
- Go to the Setup > Spaces > Spaces tab.
- Select the tab you want to change: Logbook, Cargo, Tow Diagrams, Manifest, or Readings.
- (Optional) In the Name field, enter a custom name for the tab. The name you enter replaces the tab's label for everyone across your tenant.
NoteThe Default Tab Name field shows the tab's original name and can't be changed.
- In the Sort Order field, enter a number to set where the tab appears, from left to right.
- Click Save Changes.
NoteThe History tab always appears last, and you can't rename or reorder it. The names and order you set apply to everyone across your tenant, not to individual people or roles.
