Logbook: Set Up Manifest Identification Types
Identification types define the documents you use to identify and screen external people boarding your vessels. When you set up identification types, you can store important details for each passenger, including document numbers and copies.
Common identification types include driver's licenses, passports, and TWIC cards. You can set up as many types as your operations need.
To set up an identification type
- Go to the Setup > Logbook > Identification Types tab.
- Click New Identification Type.
- In the Name field, enter the name of the identification type (for example, "Passport" or "Driver's License").
- Click Save Changes.
Examples of Identification Types
Here are some common identification types you might set up:
- Driver's License
- Passport
- TWIC Card
- State ID
- Work Permit
- Visa
How Identification Types Work with Manifest
When you add identification details to an external person's profile, the most recent identification you added or edited appears first in their list. The Manifest grid automatically uses this most current identification, so you always see the latest information.
