Logbook: Introduction to Manifest
The Logbook module lets you track and manage external people who come aboard your vessels, such as customers, vendors, contractors, and other non-crew individuals. With the Manifest feature, you can:
- Track passenger arrivals and departures with detailed boarding records
- Record daily activities and services you provide, such as meals and accommodations
- Store identification documents for compliance and safety
- Generate reports for billing, regulatory compliance, or operational tracking
- Customize what you track based on your vessel types and operational needs
Setup and Configuration
Before you start using Manifest, you'll need to complete some setup tasks. We recommend you complete them in this order:
- Logbook: Set up Manifest Person Profiles — Start here to categorize the types of external people who come aboard
- Logbook: Set up Manifest Identification Types — Define the types of identification documents you'll track
- Logbook: Set up Manifest Attribute Types — Set up the activities and services you'll track (meals, lodging, etc.)
- Logbook: Configure Manifest Settings by Division — Customize person profiles and manifest attribute types for each division
NoteYou must at least set up person profiles before you can start using Manifest. You can complete the other setup tasks as needed based on what your operations require.
