Logbook: Set Up Manifest Attribute Types
Manifest attribute types are the activities and services you track for external people aboard your vessels. They appear as checkbox columns in the Manifest grid, so you can record things like meals served, accommodations provided, or required activities completed.
You can set up each manifest attribute type as daily (you check it separately for each day of a boarding) or per-visit (you check it once for the entire boarding period).
NoteOnce you save a manifest attribute type, you can't change whether it's daily or per-visit.
To set up a manifest attribute type
- Go to the Setup > Logbook > Manifest Attribute Types tab.
- Click New Manifest Attribute Type.
- In the Name field, enter a descriptive name for the attribute (for example, "Breakfast" or "Safety Orientation").
- Check the Daily checkbox if you want to track this attribute separately for each day the person is aboard. Leave it unchecked if the attribute applies once for the entire boarding.
- Daily attributes: Use these for activities that happen every day, such as meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) or daily services.
- Per-visit attributes: Use these for one-time activities that happen once per boarding, such as safety orientations, PPE issuance, or vessel tours.
- Click Save Changes.
NoteWhen you create a new manifest attribute type, the system automatically enables it for all divisions. You can customize which attributes appear for specific divisions in Setup > Logbook > Manifest.
Examples of Manifest Attribute Types

- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Dinner
Per-visit attributes might include:
- Onboarded
- Registered
How Attribute Types Appear in the Manifest Grid
- Daily attributes appear on the right side of the Manifest grid. You can give them different values for each day of a boarding.
- Per-visit attributes appear pinned on the left side of the Manifest grid. They show the same value for all days of a boarding.
- When you hover over a column heading in the grid, you'll see a tooltip that tells you whether the attribute is daily or per-visit.
