Logbook: Create Manifest Profiles for External People
You can create Manifest profiles for external people on the External People tab. This lets you enter their information before they board your vessels. This speeds up the boarding process because the person will already be available to select from the Manifest grid.
NoteIf you don’t create a profile for an external person before their arrival, you can also create one for them directly from the Manifest grid when you log their arrival.
To create an external person profile
- Go to the Management > People > External People tab.
- Click New External Person to display the New External Person window.
- Fill in the required fields:
- First Name: The person's first name.
- Last Name: The person's last name.
- Person Profile: Choose the profile type that fits this person. This determines whether you can link them to a company or vendor later.
- Click Save.
The person now appears in the External People grid.
To add additional details
- In the External People grid, click the person's name.
- Click Edit.
- In the Name section, add any additional name information:
- Middle Name: The person's middle name.
- Suffix: Any suffix (Jr., Sr., III, etc.).
- Preferred Name: The name the person likes to be called.
- In the Identifications section, add identification documents. You can add multiple identification types for each person:
- Click Add Identification.
- From the Identification Type list, choose the type of identification (for example, "Passport" or "Driver's License").
- In the Identification Number field, enter the document number.
- To add another identification, click Add Identification again and repeat the steps.
- In the Other section, add company and status information:
- Active: Check this box to mark the person as active or clear it to make them inactive. Inactive people appear with "(inactive)" next to their name, and you can't add entries for them in the Manifest grid.
- Person Profile: The profile type you selected when you created the person.
- Click Save.
