Asset Certifications – Renew asset certifications

You can either renew an asset certification from the Tracking tab for all your assets, or from the Tracking sub tab for an individual asset.

If your company subscribes to Compliance or Forms as well as Tracking, you can also configure forms to update specific types of certifications.

Example If you require your crew to attend a specific number of man overboard drills each year, you could link a Man Overboard Drill form to a Man Overboard Training certification type. When the form is completed, the linked certification will be renewed for each crew member who attended the drill.

 

Renew a certification from the Tracking tab

  1. From the Management menu, select Assets.
  2. Click the Tracking tab.
  3. Click the certification you want to renew.

    Tip To quickly find what you're looking for, use the filters at the top of the tab to narrow the list.

  4. In the Update Certification window, click Renew.
  5. Use the Details tab to:
    1. Enter an optional reference number.
    2. Update the obtained and expiry dates.
    3. Attach any required files.
  6. (Optional) Use the Notes tab to add notes to the certification.
  7. (Optional) Use the Attachments tab to attach additional files or delete them from the certification.
  8. To save your changes and renew the certification, click Save.

Renew a certification from the Tracking sub tab

  1. From the Management menu, select Assets.
  2. Click the Assets tab.
  3. Click the required card.

  4. Click the Tracking sub tab, then click the certification you want to renew.
  5. In the Update Certification window, click Renew.
  6. Use the Details tab to:
    1. Enter an optional reference number.
    2. Update the obtained and expiry dates.
    3. Attach any required files.
  7. (Optional) Use the Notes tab to add notes to the certification.
  8. (Optional) Use the Attachments tab to attach additional files or delete them from the certification.
  9. To save your changes and renew the certification, click Save.
