Analytics: How to Use the Logistics Pro Port Dashboard
The Logistics Pro Port Dashboard is designed to give regional and port-level users a clear, interactive view of job performance. It’s intentionally simple, focused on the data you care about, and automatically scoped to your division.
Key Features
Users only see data relevant to their assigned division in Helm CONNECT. This makes it ideal for distributing across a wide operational team — no setup required, and everyone sees their own slice of performance.
The visuals include:
Revenue per hour
Month-to-date and year-to-date comparisons
Revenue by trip type and ship type
Trends over time
Customer breakdown
Interactive filters to drill into the data
Want to compare across divisions? Use the Maintenance Pro Open and Maintenance Pro Closed dashboards, which are designed for higher-level rollups.
Using the Dashboard
Filters
Divisions: This is your division structure in Helm. Users are automatically filtered to their assigned division. A Port Manager in Vancouver will see only Vancouver jobs and revenue. Division hierarchy applies (clicking a child includes its parent). There’s no need to select anything unless you want to change your scope.
Timeframe: Use date filters or toggle between Monthly / Quarterly views in the charts to zoom in or out. The gauges and comparisons are date-aware and show current progress compared to the same period last year.
Customer Filters: Use this to analyze specific accounts. For example, isolate only charter revenue from MSC.
Slicers
Trip Type: Use this filter to narrow down data to one or more job types — such as Arrivals, Departures, Charters, or Crew Changes. Also usable as a slicer within the dashboard visuals.
Ship Type: Use this filter to view only specific vessel categories — e.g., Tankers, Tugs, Barges, or Containers. Clicking a ship type inside the visual will apply the same filter dynamically.

Top-Level KPIs
Revenue Per Hour Per Job: A high-level performance metric. The trendline below shows how this value is changing over time.
-
Gauges:
Jobs MTD vs Last Month
Jobs YTD vs Last Year
Revenue MTD vs Last Month
Revenue YTD vs Last Year
These update dynamically to show progress to date, benchmarked against the same period last year — great for tracking pacing.Hover over any to see more information
Trip Type & Ship Type Revenue
These treemaps break down job revenue by:
Trip Type (e.g., Charters, Arrivals)
Ship Type (e.g., Tankers, Bulk)
Clicking on a block acts as a slicer — the rest of the dashboard will update to reflect only those jobs.
Example: Click on Trip Type 3 to instantly see revenue, trends, and customers tied to Charters only.
Jobs & Revenue Over Time
This line + bar chart shows invoiced revenue and job count over time, and compares this year to the previous.
You can:
View data monthly, quarterly, or weekly
Spot seasonality, revenue drops, or recovery trends
Example: Use this to see if April 2025 was stronger than April 2024 in both jobs and revenue.
Customer Breakdown Table
This table highlights your top customers:
Total amount invoiced
Revenue per job
Percentage of total revenue
Example: If one customer is contributing 18% of your revenue, you may want to prioritize retention or upsell.

Notes on the Data Presented
Currently, the dashboard will only load the Current Fiscal Year and Previous Year
Division filters apply automatically based on your Helm CONNECT assignment. You won’t see other regions’ data unless you have access to them.
Time-based comparisons are aware of your position in the calendar (e.g., July 21 this year vs July 21 last year), not just full months.
Revenue is based on invoiced amounts, not forecasts, drafts, or reversals. Similarly, only completed jobs are counted
